Have an event on the calendar? Build your actual design as you go.

This was built for you if

You have a vision
for something extraordinary.

  • You've built a community onlineA global community, membership, course, or following, and you want to bring them together in person. For the first time, or the second time, but better. You want them leaving saying it was the best event they've ever attended.
  • You're a culture leader, people lead, or Chief of StaffBringing a remote or distributed team together. Your organization has values, but values on a wall and values felt in a room are two different things. You want your culture embodied, not just stated.
  • You're a facilitator, event producer, or community strategistWho wants a methodology you can apply with confidence at every scale, from an intimate retreat to a flagship event of hundreds.
  • You want this to work harder than just the event itselfGenerating real revenue, real ambassadors, video testimonials, and the images and stories that prove your community is alive.
Not the right fit if

Gathered is specific
by design.

  • You're looking for a venue database or logistics vendor list
  • You're planning a corporate conference or wedding
  • You have no existing community or audience to gather
  • You want theory without a practical, immediately applicable framework
Sound familiar?

You know how to lead online.
Live is a different language.

You know how to show up digitally. You know how to deliver value, hold attention, build trust across a screen. That took years. You're good at it.

But translating what you do online into a physical space, one that holds people, that moves them, that makes them feel they couldn't have gotten this anywhere else, that feels like starting over. New territory. Higher stakes.

Because it is higher stakes. Your people are flying to be in the room with you. They're paying real money. They're trusting you with their time, their energy, their openness. You care too much to give them something mediocre. And you know, instinctively, that the difference between an event people politely enjoyed and one they call life-changing has nothing to do with the budget. It has to do with the design.

Here's what nobody talks about: the logistics are actually the easy part. The hard part is invisible. It's the arc. The sensory experience. The container. The quality of attention in the room. The moment you leave on the schedule, and the one you're brave enough to catch when it arrives uninvited.

That's what Gathered teaches.

A note on the world we're in

Your knowledge is being commoditized in real time. AI can approximate your wisdom, replicate your content, answer questions in your voice. What it cannot do is put 30 people in a room together and make something happen between them. A live gathering is the one experience that can't be replaced, owned by a platform, or taken from you. In Session 7, you'll learn exactly how to use AI as your design partner, so it amplifies what you create rather than flattening it.

"Jana creates pure magic. She brings people together in a way that feels effortless and deeply human, and everything she touches is done with flawless care and intention. She has a gift for making every moment meaningful, every detail seamless, and every person feel held."

, Alexandra Johnson, Founder, Rock Your Goddess Life

"Jana is an extraordinary human being. Her commitment to making people feel connected to themselves and to one another with a deep sense of belonging is extraordinary."

, Brian Johnson, Founder, Heroic
Your attendees can leave saying things like this.

"The consideration in every detail was just incredible. This has been a truly transformational experience."

, Jennifer Cory

"This week, I not only grew closer to myself but also to this community and mission. Until next time!"

, Jesse A. Ortiz

"Thank you for the fabulous adventure made possible by your clear passion for greatness. Life changing."

, Marie Anne Patenaude-Alexa

"I returned home with extraordinary memories and immense gratitude. I'm forever changed."

, Mayra Medina

"What an incredible week. I truly appreciate all you put into planning this for us. I enjoyed every moment of it."

, Sarah Pipher

"Wow! Wow! Wow! You are the best! Thanks for all you did to make this an incredibly powerful experience!"

, Debbie Callif

That's not an accident. It's a design.

The curriculum

Eight sessions.
One framework.
A blueprint you use
immediately.

Each session includes a recorded lesson, a live call with me, a practical exercise, and a named tool you keep and use forever. Have an event on the calendar? You'll build your actual Experience Design Blueprint as you move through the program.

01
Week 1
Begin with the end. Design backwards.

Before the venue, before the agenda, there is one question that determines whether your gathering transforms people or merely informs them. The entire Gathered methodology flows from your answer.

Tool: The Outcome Statement Worksheet
02
Week 2
The sensory blueprint. Design what people feel.

Your brand exists online as words and images. In a room, it becomes something people smell, taste, and feel. Why the coffee matters as much as the keynote. Why the right music at arrival changes everything that follows.

Tool: The Translation Worksheet
03
Week 3
Place, space, and the container.

Venue is a design decision, not a logistics one. How to choose places that ask something of your participants. How to brief a space the way a designer would. How to set the rules of the space that make depth possible before anyone says a word.

Tool: The Space Brief
04
Week 4
Rituals, rhythm, and the bookended day.

Structure creates safety. Surprise creates memory. The bookended day: how you open and close determines how people carry what happened. And the design principle that changes everything: the peak moment lives at 75%, not at the end.

Tool: The Container Audit
05
Week 5
Connection by design. Courage to belong.

Connection is not what happens when you put people in a room. It's what you design before, during, and after. The psychological safety ladder. Designing for introverts. Meal design as connection infrastructure. The session most participants say changes everything.

Tool: The Psychological Safety Ladder
06
Week 6
The arc. The journey underneath the agenda.

Every gathering has two documents: the agenda and the arc. Most people only write the first one. The arc is the emotional journey, from arrival state to departure state, and everything that has to happen in between. This is my strongest session.

Tool: The Arc Map
07
Week 7
Surprise, delight, and the branded moment.

The swag bag is dead. The detail nobody planned for is alive. The physical details that make a gathering live in memory, and how to use AI as an experience design partner so it amplifies your creativity rather than replacing it.

Tool: The Surprise and Delight Calendar
08
Week 8
Revenue, scale, and the practice that compounds.

A gathering that doesn't pay for itself is a hobby. Ticket pricing, tiered access, sponsorship, scaling economics. How to design experiences you can charge significantly more for. Capstone: present your Experience Design Blueprint and receive your Gathered certification.

Tool: The Closing Ritual Designer
Logistics matter too, and we don't ignore them. Throughout the program you'll receive my personal planning checklists, run-of-show templates, and vendor briefing guides. One session in the middle of the program is an integration week with no live call, use the time to apply what you've learned to your own gathering design.
Why live, why now

The world is changing fast.
That's actually an invitation.

Your knowledge is more accessible than ever. The one thing that cannot be replicated, streamed, or automated is the experience of being in a room together. Live gatherings are the only space where your community becomes truly yours, where real relationships form, where real revenue lives.

Gathered teaches you how to design that space. And yes, it teaches you how to use AI as your creative partner to get there faster.

Your guide

Jana Dybinski

I didn't learn the most important thing I know about gathering from a conference. I learned it on a bus in rural Tanzania, watching a mother pass her ten-month-old daughter through the door as the bus pulled away. A red string around the baby's wrist. A name and a bus stop written on it. For two hours, strangers held that child, feeding her, singing to her, passing her along, until she arrived safely at the right stop.

That mother trusted a group of strangers with the most precious thing she had. And those strangers, without a meeting or an agenda or assigned roles, just knew what to do. I have thought about that baby on almost every hard day of my career since. Because that's what a well-designed gathering does. It creates the conditions for something that extraordinary to happen, between strangers, between colleagues, between people who flew across the world to be in the same room. It cracks people open. It shifts things. And when it's done well, it's the best experience someone has ever had.

That is what I have spent 15 years learning how to build. Not just events, experiences that people feel in their bodies and carry home with them. As VP Impact & Culture at Heroic, I built the gatherings that turned a global digital community into rooms full of people who genuinely changed each other. At Rebel, I led cultural transformation grounded in Conscious Capitalism. I've traveled to 40+ countries, and every single one has taught me something about what place does to people, what belonging feels like, and what happens when someone finally gets the design right.

I've moved 4,000 pounds of ice to a rooftop in Austin. Taken founders through the ruins of ancient Greece. Pushed 600 people through a Spartan race and held the debrief. Led small groups through Patagonia, Nepal, and Morocco, where the terrain itself becomes the teacher. Every one of those experiences deepened my conviction: the world needs more wonder. More awe. More rooms where people walk out saying I have never felt anything like that.

You're building communities, leading teams, gathering people around ideas that matter. Helping you do that with more beauty, more intention, and more impact, that's not just a course I'm teaching. It's the work I was made for.

Gathered is everything I wish I'd had when I started. And everything I want to put in your hands.

What you walk away with

Not just knowledge.
A blueprint you use immediately.

01
A complete gathering framework

Design principles that apply at every scale, intimate retreat to flagship event. Built from 15 years of real events across wildly different contexts. Yours to use forever.

02
Confidence in the space

How to read a room, hold the arc, pivot when the plan should be abandoned, and catch the moments nobody planned. The invisible skills no checklist can give you.

03
A sensory design vocabulary

Most gatherers think about what people will hear. You'll leave knowing how to design what they smell, taste, feel, and see, and why that's what they actually remember.

04
Experiences you can charge more for

The difference between a $500 ticket and a $5,000 ticket is rarely the venue. It's the design. Gathered gives you the framework to build experiences that justify a premium.

05
A complete revenue model

Ticket pricing, tiered access, sponsorship, scaling economics. How to make your gathering pay, and how to build it into an annual anchor that grows in value every year.

06
Your most powerful marketing asset

The video testimonials. The photos around a long table. The ambassador who goes home and tells everyone. Designed into the experience from day one, not an afterthought.

07
A community you genuinely own

The people who came to your gathering have met each other now, changed by something you created together. That relationship lives outside any platform, outside any algorithm.

08
Your Blueprint + certification

A complete, specific, ready-to-use plan for your next gathering, and the Gathered certification to mark that you've done the work.

09
8 tools, forever

The Translation Worksheet. The Space Brief. The Container Audit. The Psychological Safety Ladder. The Arc Map. The Spaciousness Planner. The Surprise & Delight Calendar. The Closing Ritual Designer.

It's an invitation to build it with me.

The founding cohort is a rare thing. You're not enrolling in something finished, you're co-creating something with me. Your questions shape the sessions. Your real gatherings inform the tools. Your feedback makes the framework better for every community builder who comes after you. In return, you get direct access to me, founding pricing that will never be offered again, and a seat at the table where this is being built.
